Petition

A parent in Edinburgh has launched a petition calling on the city council to look at banning religious observance in non-denominational schools. The move has been backed by Edinburgh Secular Society.
To ban something that has been at the heart of Scottish culture for over 1400 years, that has shaped our history, our morals and our ethical outlook, our laws, is in my opinion verging on utter folly.
If we ban religious observance what do we replace it with, how would children know the difference between right and wrong. Remember your freedoms of speech, expression and religion simply exist in the West because we are a Judeo-christian civilisation. If you don’t agree have a look at the Islamic world.
Children need values to live by which is given by our Christian culture not liberal-left wing secular nonsense.
