A photograph taken during a royal visit to Bethlehem to prove the biblical city’s existence will be going on display among photographs and diary extracts from a royal tour 150 years ago.

Queen Victoria’s eldest son King Edward VII, then Prince of Wales, was sent on an educational trip to the Middle East in 1862, accompanied by Francis Bedford – the first photographer on a royal tour. for more click here
