It may have been a revolutionary era for women’s rights, but these postcards show that feminism in Edwardian Britain still had a long way to go. Sexist, misogynists postcards from the early 20th century depict the sneering attitudes towards the Suffragette movement and its members, including famous campaigner Emmeline Pankhurst. The designs, which were posted among Britons between 1907 and 1914 featured ‘humurous’ designs lampooning the women’s rights movement in a move publishing companies thought would be a big seller. for more click here
