The Erection of a Stone at South Leith Edinburgh

12 July 1711.—This day it was represented to the Session that Patrick Baptie, Shipmaster in Leith was designed to put a thrugh Ston above that place in the Church yeard where his wife and children and Mother in Law were buried, and therefor desiring liberty from the Session for doeing the Samen, The Session unanimously granted his desire upon his paying an hundered merks to the Session for the use of the poor which was formerly payed by others for the same priviledge.
