I*1., Lord Lieutenant of Banffshire, a Lord of his Majesty’s Bedchamber, and a General in the Spanish army; (son of Alex, last Earl, by Mary, daughter of George Skene of Skene) succeeded his father 1811. Married Maria Carolina, daughter of the Countess of Dysart, who died 1805. Presumptive heir his brother, Lieut.-Gen. Hon.1 Alex. Duff, who married, in 1812, Anne, daughter of James Stein of Kilbagie, and has issue.—Duff’ House, Rothiemay, and Balvenie Castle, Banffshire ; Innes House,Elginshire; Mar Lodge, Delgaty Castle, and Skenr, Aberdenshire ; and Caraldston, fprforshire.]
