Experiment with Google on genealogical searches

Do you use Google for some of your family searches? If not, you may be missing the boat. Begin by typing the name of your ancestor in the box on the Google home page. This initial search will give you an idea of just how many results for the name are online. If you have a very common name that you are searching for, you may have to quality the search by customizing the information. You may use quotation marks around the name or a plus mark if you wish for John Smith who married Mary Jones. Just put in “John Smith” + Mary Jones and see if that helps you locate the couple you are searching for. for more click here
