The incredible last moments of a heroic World War Two pilot can be told for the first time after a letter emerged from a German who witnessed his death.

Sgt William Ross, who was capped by Scotland at rugby in 1937, was killed in 1942 when his aeroplane was shot down during a daring raid. for more click here
