Charting the course of history: maps in the archives

The National Archives has one of the world’s richest map collections, with holdings ranging from a fourteenth century sea chart to modern military maps, charting locations from Kew to Timbuktu. There are maps of interest for most areas of research: some made history and shaped countries, while others simply record where individuals lived. This talk will survey the types of maps held at Kew and will give some directions on where and how to find them. for more click here
