Culloden battlefield a grim reminder of inhumanity of war

INVERNESS, Scotland — Some of the world’s greatest battlefields are overgrown, their secrets and stories lost to the passage of time. Others are full of monuments that literally obscure the past. Then there is Culloden, the brutal conflict Scotland will never forget.

The barren windswept moor is virtually as it was in 1746 when the British government army confronted the Highland clans in the last major battle to be fought on British soil. for more click here
