Making history come alive

WERE you there with Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1746? Or with the other side at the Battle of Culloden, under Butcher Cumberland? If you were – or at least if you can trace an ancestor who was – then the National Trust for Scotland (NTS) wants to hear from you.
To mark the opening of its new £9 million visitor centre at Culloden, the NTS is looking for young people with family links to those who took part in the battle. As Scots fought on both sides, this is a good way of ending old enmities and putting Culloden in its place in history. for more click here
