The Imperial War Museum

The Imperial War Museum (IWM) is part of your family’s history. Established in 1917 to commemorate and record the First World War, it has always received genealogical enquiries. The Museum now covers all aspects of twentieth century conflict from 1914, and is not just confined to the military actions of both World Wars. It has material relating to the home front, and good coverage of the Commonwealth (and enemy) forces. for more click here
