Finding ancestor wills is a historical treasure

“ . . . . and to my beloved wife Martha I bequeath the dwelling house where we now live for her use as long as she remains a widow. Also the choice of two beds and bedding and bedsteads, one cow and eight dollars worth of kitchen furniture and a flax wheel. To my older daughter Catherine I bequeath the sum of sixty dollars, it being her full proportion of my estate . . . .”
