For Bennington Museum, more records to help genealogy buffs

BENNINGTON, Vt. – At Bennington Museum, the motto is “Celebrating Vermont’s Heritage.”

Now, it has 278 more ways to do that, thanks to the acquisition of that many rolls of microfilm containing birth, marriage and death records for all of Vermont from the period 1908 to 1941.

The records complete a collection that dates to the 1760s, allowing genealogy buffs, historians and people interested in their heritage to look up particulars. If it happened in Vermont between 1760 and 1941, it’s in there _ if it was recorded at the time. for more click here
