War veterans honored during Purple Heart Award celebration

SIMI VALLEY, Calif.—Dozens of soldiers wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan were honored during a ceremony commemorating the 225th anniversary of the creation of the Purple Heart Award.
Organized by Yellow Ribbon America, a military support group, Saturday’s reception paid tribute to recipients of the Purple Heart, given to those wounded in combat.

“You went into combat and were wounded. God love you. We admire you. We are grateful to you,” said former Gov. Pete Wilson during ceremonies at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library near Simi Valley. for more click here
