Salmond calls for lessons to be learned as statue to victims of Clearances unveiled

LIKE the statue he came to laud yesterday, the First Minister was looking both forward and back.

Alex Salmond had travelled to Helmsdale in Sutherland to officially unveil The Emigrants, a sculpture honouring those who left the Highlands and Islands during the notorious Clearances to start new lives abroad. for more click here
