‘Roots For Kids’ exposes children to the past

In a recent article genealogist George Eastman brought up the question of why genealogy seems to be a hobby that people develop in their middle years. Why does it take the fascination with our ancestors so long to reveal itself when it often becomes an all-consuming occupation once it does?

Could it simply be a matter of our not being introduced to it earlier?
