Idaho History: Young Scots prospered in Idaho sheep business

At the end of the 19th century a number of young men from Scotland came to America, made their way across the continent to Idaho, and went into the business of raising sheep. All of them had known something about the business in the old country and had family members who still tended their flocks in the land of the heather and the thistle.
Each of those whose stories we shall tell today started at the bottom of the ladder and worked their way up to become wealthy. They typically began as herders before saving enough, or borrowing enough, to buy flocks of their own. for more click here
