Author traces union history

In 1944, a tiny wooden rowboat lurked in the water off the Burrard Shipyards under the towering bow of a Victory Ship.

From there, a union leader shouted to the thousands of workers on the docks to organize.

Fraser Wilson captured that image in Organization, one of only two oil paintings he ever painted. Recently, North Vancouver resident Betty Griffin donated that piece of local history to the North Vancouver Museum and Archives Commission. She misses it already. for more click here
