Brown and Cameron share Scottish farming roots

Chancellor Gordon Brown and Tory leader David Cameron are descended from Scottish farmers who lived just 150 miles apart, according to a report today.

The politicians’ ancestors are among the 24 million names contained in historical Scotland censuses from 1841 to 1901, fully indexed for the first time on the ancestry.co.uk website. for more click here
