National Register of Historic Places

The National Register of Historic Places is the United States government’s official list of districts, sites, buildings, structures, and objects worthy of preservation. As of 2007, the list includes more than 80,000 entries, including many icons of American culture, history, engineering, and architecture. The Register was established in 1966 with the passage of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA). for more click here
