More than 200 war brides bound for Halifax to revisit their journey to Canada

HALIFAX (CP) – When Kay Windle’s new husband left Europe and returned to Canada in 1944, the couple had a code so Bernie would know when Kay was finally coming to join him.

Kay met the Canadian soldier in March of that year in Nottingham, England, where she was working with the women’s land army. for more click here
