English Heritage on right track with Blue Plaque for Zulu king, but much more is needed, says historian

Just days after announcing plans to portray the more diverse nature of British history, English Heritage has commemorated King Cetshwayo with a Blue Plaque. But African historian Dr Kwame Osei believes much more is needed.

The Blue Plaque, unveiled on Monday October 30, at 18 Melbury Road in West London, is where King Cetshwayo stayed in the summer of 1882 after he had been exiled from Zululand. King Cetshwayo, born in 1826 was the son of Zulu prince Mpanade who ruled the Zulu nation between 1872 and 1879 and led his people during the Zulu war.for more click here
