The Wind that Shakes the Barley

Among the stories of the Anglo-Irish War of Independenc(1919-21) and the Irish Civil War (1922-3) which I grew up listening to my mother tell was the story of the shooting of the last three of 77 Republican prisoners of war killed by the Free State government, in the last days of the civil war, in our town, Ennis.
