The Archers of Abaco

When the British Methodist Society founded the little church in the settlement of Marsh Harbour in 1843, 60 years after Joseph Paul came to the Abacos’ and 41 years after his death, among its members were Tom and Nogie Archer, freed slaves. Their youngest child, Joshua was born in 1840 and was baptized in the chapel as the baptismal records indicate. This godly couple desired that their children fear and honour God. They knew that if they taught God’s precepts, line upon line, here a little, there a little, it would trickle down to generations following. for more click here
