Old sword sheathed in family history

Jim Shipp recalls a day in his 20s when his father opened a slender wooden case to reveal a tarnished war sword, emblazoned with the family name.
Twenty years later, when the same sword was passed down to him for posterity’s sake, he couldn’t remember its story well enough to care how valuable the sword might be. So he shoved it under his bed with some other junk.for more click here
