Bloodstained Somme tunic goes on display

A BLOOD-STAINED tunic cut from a soldier wounded at the Battle of the Somme is among artefacts going on display for the first time to mark the battle’s 90th anniversary.

The uniform, worn by Lieutenant Harold Cope of the 7th Battalion, the Border Regiment, will be on show alongside wartime items belonging to household names such as Lord of the Rings author JRR Tolkien and the poet Robert Graves. for more click here
