Author, Southern historian dies at 77

ABILENE, Texas – Historian Grady McWhiney, who aggressively argued that the American South’s history and culture were inexorably linked to a Celtic background, has died. He was 77.

McWhiney died April 18 at his home in Abilene, said Dr. Robert Pace, vice president of the Grady McWhiney Research Foundation. The history professor and author had been in declining health for several years.for more click here
