Events honoring Gen. Braddock planned
This is the season of Braddock.
Two hundred and fifty years ago, English General Edward Braddock and the largest army yet assembled in North America struggled through 110 miles of wilderness with plans to defeat the French at Fort Duquesne (present-day Pittsburgh).
Had he succeeded, the French and Indian War would have ended and the English would have controlled the Ohio River.
