Welcome to the Registers of Scotland

Registers of Scotland is the Executive Agency responsible for framing and maintaining records relating to property and further legal proceedings. This area tells you what we do and what our visions and objectives are as an Agency.

Our annual reports are available to view and print free of charge. All our other information leaflets are available in our new and up-to-date LITERATURE section. Manuals and guides are also online and should help you to use our services effectively.

Registers are as old as history. In Scotland the various Registers were established 7 centuries ago to give citizens the power and protection of having their rights recorded in an official Register. To find out more about the Registers try our HISTORY section.

As a Government Agency we have objectives set by the Scottish Executive. Each year we strive to better our performance and meet new targets. These targets are listed in our OBJECTIVES section.
